“Youth Remains” was inspired in part by the lyrics of “Les Pleasirs Démodés” (old-fashioned pleasures) by Charles Aznavour. In the song, a man reminds his wife that although they are getting older, they can still retain the dreams and attitudes that they had when they were young. Perhaps if we were to change the phrase from “old- fashioned” to “old-fashionable”, we will would retain the best parts of “aging” and reject its worst.
